FOSFOTAS 4GM INJECTION contains Fosfomycin which belongs to a group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used to manage certain infections in adults and children, including neonates, when the commonly recommended medicines have less or no efficacy. The infections include acute osteomyelitis, complicated urinary tract infections, nosocomial lower respiratory tract infections, bacterial meningitis, and bacteraemia associated with any of the listed infections.

FOSFOTAS 4GM INJECTION should be used with caution in patients with heart and kidney diseases, high blood pressure, hyperaldosteronism, high levels of sodium, pulmonary oedema, and liver cirrhosis. Contact your doctor before receiving it.

FOSFOTAS 4GM INJECTION should be used with caution during pregnancy. FOSFOTAS 4GM INJECTION can be given to children and adolescents. However, the dose and duration will be decided by the doctor. The most common side effects of FOSFOTAS 4GM INJECTION include retching, stomach ache, and a rash with skin redness. Contact your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.

HOW FOSFOTAS 4GM INJECTION WORKS

FOSFOTAS 4GM INJECTION works by managing the enzymatic synthesis of the bacterial cell wall. It exerts a bactericidal effect on the bacteria and thereby helps manage the infection.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

FOSFOTAS 4GM INJECTION will only be given to you by a doctor or nurse. The dose and duration will be decided by your doctor depending on your age, body weight and disease severity.

Stop receiving FOSFOTAS 4GM INJECTION and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

• serious allergic reaction (symptoms include breathing or swallowing difficulties, sudden wheezing, dizziness, swelling of face, eyelids, lips and tongue, rash or itching)
• severe and persistent diarrhoea (may or may not be associated with abdominal pain or fever)
• jaundice (yellowish discolouration of skin or whites of eyes)
• confusion, muscle twitching or abnormal heart rhythm
• pain, burning, redness or swelling along the vein in which the medicine has been infused
• bleeding and bruising more often than usual

INTRODUCTION ABOUT FOIVIR 400 TABLET

FOIVIR 400 TABLET contains Favipiravir which belongs to the group of medicines called Antiviral drugs. It is used to manage patients with mild to moderate COVID-19 disease, which is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes short-term, mild upper respiratory infection (common cold) associated with symptoms such as nasal obstruction, sneezing, runny nose and sometimes cough.

Prior to management with FOIVIR 400 TABLET, your doctor may want you to take several tests to understand your existing condition.

Before taking FOIVIR 400 TABLET, inform your doctor if you have gout. FOIVIR 400 TABLET is not recommended for use if you are allergic to Favipiravir or have severe liver or kidney impairment.

FOIVIR 400 TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women, also it is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years). It should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years or above).

The most common side effects of taking FOIVIR 400 TABLET is diarrhoea. Consult your doctor if your symptom worsens.

Merinta 1gm Injection is an antibiotic medication in the carbapenems category, containing the active ingredient Meropenem. It is used to treat various bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms. This injection also treats skin, lung, urine, and gynecological infections. Mostly, it can be used during the prevention of surgical site infections.

This drug is mainly contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to other beta-lactam antibiotics, such as penicillins or cephalosporins. If you have experienced severe diarrhea after taking other antibiotics, it is important to inform your physician. Merinta 1gm Injection can reduce the serum concentrations of valproic acid, a medication used to treat seizures and certain mental health conditions. It can lead to decreased effectiveness of valproic acid. If you take valproic acid, your healthcare provider may need to adjust the dose or consider alternative treatments.

About Immutil S 360 mg Tablet

Immutil S 360 mg Tablet is used to prevent the body from rejecting a transplanted organ such as a kidney, heart or liver. Transplant rejection occurs when the recipient’s immune system identifies the transplanted organ as a ‘foreign object’ and attacks it.

Immutil S 360 mg Tablet contains mycophenolate sodium, which works by suppressing the immune system, allowing the transplanted graft to avoid rejection.

In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as diarrhoea, cough, muscle pain, low blood pressure, fever and respiratory infections. Immutil S 360 mg Tablet is used to prevent organ rejection in patients who have undergone a kidney, heart, or liver transplant. The detailed uses of Immutil S 360 mg Tablet are as follows:

• Used with other medications: Immutil S 360 mg Tablet is commonly administered alongside other immunosuppressants to enhance effectiveness.

Valchek tablet is an Antiviral with an active ingredient called Valganciclovir. It belongs to the medication group known as Antiviral (Non-HIV) drugs. Valganciclovir is converted into Ganciclovir after entering the body, which acts to fight viral infections. It is used to treat Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections of the retina of the eye in adults with Acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS). Cytomegalovirus infection often leads to vision problems and blindness. Additionally, it prevents Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections in patients who received an organ transplant from a person infected with CMV in adults and children.  

Do not take this drug if you are allergic to Valganciclovir, Ganciclovir, and its other ingredients. Inform your physician if you have a lower blood cell count ( WBC, RBC, Platelet). Notify your doctor if you took any radiotherapy or hemodialysis (a treatment to filter wastes and water from your blood) or conditions with your kidney. Inform your physician if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant. Use effective contraception during and even after the treatment; women should use contraception for 30 days, whereas men should use condoms for 90 days during and after the treatment. Discuss with your doctor for more fertility concerns. A dosage adjustment of Valchek tablet will be given if you have kidney conditions. Your doctor may regularly take the blood test to monitor the blood count while taking the tablet.
